April 10th, Mergenthaler Vocational – Technical High School

As part of our outreach, HSWET led a turbine design workshop at MERVO High School with 10 students, guiding group discussions on key components like blades, nacelles, and generators. We emphasized design justification, teamwork, and critical thinking. Building on this session, we plan to return with the KidWind Advanced Wind Experiment Kit for hands-on learning ahead of the student competition. The visit reinforced our commitment to clean energy education and community engagement, with Mr. Brelsford requesting our CAD files to support further learning and collaboration.
