At the 2025 JHU Sustainability Symposium, five HSWET members presented under Panel 3A in the Net-Zero Future category, sharing our 330 MW floating offshore wind proposal in Coos Bay, Oregon. We highlighted strategies in siting, permitting, auction bidding, offtake, and financing, emphasizing federal incentives and VPPA partnerships. The symposium fostered cross-sector dialogue on climate innovation, with our session featuring Dr. Nicholas Dalesio’s work on decarbonizing pediatric anesthesia and moderated by Ralph O’connor Sustainable Energy Institute (ROSEI) faculty Dr. Magdalena Klemun.
